Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an Accounting Specialist to record, verify, and report financial data across multiple platforms. You will reconcile GL accounts, manage fixed assets, and support month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Onsite with shift flexibility at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting and audit functions.
• Strong foundational knowledge of financial management, general accounting principles, and accounts payable processes.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong and confident verbal and written communication skills to handle inquiries across departments.
• Capability to adapt quickly and function effectively in a highly dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Record, prepare, verify, and report financial transactions in line with company policies.
• Analyze and reconcile GL accounts to identify critical accounts, manage risks, and detect fraud.
• Process fixed asset registration depreciation and monthly amortization reports.
• Manage asset disposal and make adjustments within NetSuite.
• Generate month-end and fiscal year-end closing reports (prepayments, CAPEX, assets).
• Process high volume of complex journal entries for fixed assets and adjustments.
• Supervise day-to-day tasks of associates to maximize team performance.
• Serve as primary project handler for software processes in NetSuite, Blackline, or other accounting platforms.
• Apply VAT and EWT knowledge to ensure proper tax treatment.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and address cross-functional accounting queries.

Your Role

As an Accounting Specialist, you will:

• Record, prepare, verify, and report financial transactions in strict accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Analyze and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts to identify critical accounts, manage risks, and proactively detect fraudulent activities.
• Execute the monthly processing and verification of the Fixed Asset Registration, calculating regular depreciation schedules and running monthly amortization reports.
• Manage the asset disposal process and execute adjustments accurately within NetSuite.
• Generate month-end and fiscal year-end closing reports covering prepayments, CAPEX, and assets.
• Process a high volume of complex journal entries for fixed assets, periodic adjustments, and other financial records.
• Supervise the day-to-day tasks of associates and specialists to maximize operational performance within the team.
• Serve as the primary project handler and functional point of contact for software processes in NetSuite, Blackline, or other integrated accounting platforms.
• Apply fundamental taxation knowledge to ensure the proper treatment of Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT).
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and address diverse accounting-related queries coming from various cross-functional departments.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Management, or a related business field.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting and audit functions.
• Strong foundational knowledge of financial management, general accounting principles, and accounts payable processes.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong and confident verbal and written communication skills to handle inquiries across departments.
• Capability to adapt quickly and function effectively in a highly dynamic and changing environment.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Hands-on knowledge and operational experience utilizing ERP and specialized systems such as Oracle NetSuite, Blackline, and SAP Concur.
• Experience supervising day-to-day tasks or mentoring junior accounting staff.
• Basic understanding and application of local taxation regulations regarding VAT and EWT configurations.

Other Position Requirements

• Subject to business demands, additional working hours may be required.
• May be required to travel and work flexibly across various designated corporate sites.
