We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional accounting across our global entities.
This role sits within the core accounting operations layer and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. This role is well suited for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles who can apply judgment in how transactions are classified and recorded, not just execute data entry.
- Process and code vendor bills, ensuring proper account classification, tax treatment, and posting periods
- Support accounts receivable workflows, including client statements, collections follow ups, and dispute tracking
- Code daily bank and credit card transactions across multiple entities
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and supported
- Identify prepaid expenses and maintain amortization schedules
- Prepare monthly amortization entries and support recurring accounting processes
- Set up and maintain vendor records (W-9 details, payment terms, tax status, entity/currency alignment)
- Support customer record accuracy and completeness
- Maintain clean, consistent data across systems
- Run standard reports (financial statements, AP/AR aging, saved searches) as requested
- Support ad hoc data requests from the Controller or finance team
- Organize and maintain supporting documentation (vendor bills, receipts, etc.) in shared systems
- Ensure records are audit-ready and easy to reference
- Assist with bookkeeping across multiple entities using NetSuite OneWorld as the primary platform, with additional support in QuickBooks Online for affiliated entities where applicable
- Support reconciliation processes and ensure alignment between system balances and source data
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- Prior hands-on experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred, not required to be an expert, but having worked in it before matters given the complexity of our environment (multi-entity, multi-currency)
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and datasets
- Sound judgment: can describe a specific, real situation where the correct accounting treatment wasn't obvious, what they decided, and why
- Initiative: can describe a specific, real situation where they caught and raised an error or inconsistency that nobody asked them to look for
- Works independently: has managed a full daily or monthly task queue with minimal supervision, appropriate for a remote, offshore, cross-timezone engagement, and can describe what they do when they hit something they're unsure about
- Accurately codes transactions with strong attention to detail
- Applies sound accounting judgment in ambiguous situations
- Flags issues proactively rather than guessing
- Maintains clean, consistent and reliable financial records
- Adapts quickly to a structured but evolving accounting environment
- Multi-entity, global structure (U.S. and international subsidiaries)
