Accounting / Purchasing Staff

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting / Purchasing Staff to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, processing supplier transactions, monitoring project-related purchases, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction accounting and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Functions

• Prepare and process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping
• Assist in payroll preparation and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
• Prepare vouchers, check requests, and supporting documents
• Assist in month-end financial reports
• Monitor project expenses and budget allocations

Purchasing Functions

• Source and negotiate with suppliers for construction materials
• Prepare Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
• Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with site engineers
• Maintain supplier database and price comparisons
• Ensure proper documentation of all procurement transactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 1 year experience in accounting and/or purchasing (construction industry experience is an advantage)
• Knowledgeable in basic accounting principles and procurement processes
• Familiar with MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Honest, reliable, and with good communication skills
• Willing to be assigned in Malvar, Batangas

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling construction project costing
• Knowledge of BIR compliance and government remittances
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers and project managers
