Job summary

Accounting Supervisor (Construction Company)

We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and supervise the accounting staff in achieving the company’s financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Review and validate monthly payroll, financial reports, and other accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial statements in coordination with management.
• Ensure timely compliance with BIR tax requirements, government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate and support external and internal audits, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to the accounting team to ensure efficiency and continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments (Procurement, Operations, HR) to streamline financial procedures and reporting.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license is an advantage but not required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and Philippine taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in a construction company or project-based industry is a strong advantage.
• Experience in a construction company is a plus.
