Key Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting and Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in ensuring the Company's compliance with BIR.
- Prepare tax returns, schedules, reports, and supporting documents for timely submission.
- Monitor statutory filing deadlines and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate government agencies as authorized.
- Maintain organized accounting files and records.
- Assist in the processing updates, and compliance requirements through ORUS (Online Registration and Update System), eBIRForms, eFPS (when applicable), and other BIR online systems.
- Provide accounting and administrative support as may be assigned by Management.
Procurement
- Source suppliers and obtain quotations for project materials, office supplies, tools, equipment, and other operational requirements.
- Evaluate quotations based on price, quality, delivery schedule, payment terms, and supplierreliability.
Logistics
- Arrange deliveries through third-party logistics providers such as Lalamove, Grab, trucking companies, courier services, and other accredited providers.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, project engineers, and logistics providers.
- Monitor deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materials at project sites.
- Resolve delivery-related concerns in coordination with suppliers and logistics providers.
- Prepare reports requested by Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related business course.
- At least one (1) year of relevant work experience with hands-on exposure to BIR compliance and tax filing requirements.
- Working knowledge of Philippine accounting principles, tax regulations, and BIR compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with ORUS (Online Registration and Update System), eBIRForms, eFPS (when applicable), and other BIR online systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics coordination, or the construction or engineering industry is an advantage but not required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Honest, trustworthy, adaptable, and willing to learn and grow with a start-up engineering and construction company.
