Job Summary

The General Accountant will manage the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all financial transactions. This role is key in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, supporting management in financial decision‑making, and optimizing internal financial processes. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and has hands‑on experience in accounting within a construction or supply‑related industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds for operational needs.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, and others).
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Handle payroll processing and employee benefit computations.
• Support procurement and inventory accounting processes for construction materials.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the optimization of accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. CPA license is an advantage.
2. 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or supply chain companies.
3. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, ERP systems) and MS Office (especially Excel).
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
5. High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem‑solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
