Job summary

SM Development Corporation is seeking an on-site Accountant in Pasay to manage the accounting for GPMC properties, including condominium corporations and HOA. You will implement internal controls, supervise billing and collections, maintain accurate financial records, and provide timely financial reports in compliance with BIR regulations.

The role requires a BS in Accountancy, at least 3 years in general accounting, and preferably a CPA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS in Accountancy or any major in Accounting courses.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in General Accounting (Bank Reconciliation, Financial Statements, Taxation & Audit)

Responsibilities

• Regular site visits to assigned properties (at least once a week).
• Timely and accurate release of monthly statements of accounts.
• Implementation of collection policy and ensure deposits meet cut-off.
• Monthly preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Timely preparation of monthly financial reports (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Position/Flow).
• 100% filing of BIR returns and other government requirements (Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax).
• Assist in preparation and review of annual budget and manage property expenses per procurement/disbursement process.

JOB SUMMARY

• Head office based, to handle various GPMC managed properties - Condominium Corp. and/or Homeowners' Associations.
• Implement finance and accounting internal controls and procedures; supervise and ensure efficient, reliable, and customer-oriented billing and collection process; maintain updated and accurate financial records; provide timely and relevant financial reports; continuous improvement of financial standing of handles property; demonstrate clear and concise written and oral communications; 100% compliance to BIR and other government agencies regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Regular (at least once a week) site visit of assigned properties
2. Timely and accurate release of monthly statement of accounts
3. Implementation of collection policy
4. Ensure collections are deposited intact within set cut-off
5. Monthly preparation of bank reconciliation
6. Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports:
   • Balance Sheet
   • Profit & Loss
   • Collection Efficiency
   • Accounts Receivable Aging
   • Cash Position and Cash Flow
   • Other related reports that may be required
7. Updated Audited Financial Statements
8. 100% filing of BIR returns and other government agencies requirements within deadline
   • Income Tax Returns
   • VAT Returns
   • Withholding Tax Returns
9. Assist in preparation and review of annual budget
10. Management of handled property expense thru compliance with set procurement and disbursement process
