Job summary

SMDC is seeking a Certified Public Accountant to lead General Accounting on-site at MOA, Pasay City, Monday to Friday 9am–6pm.

The role involves mentoring finance staff, supervising Property Accountants, and ensuring internal controls, timely BIR filings, and accurate financial statements for managed properties.

Ideal candidates have eight years of relevant experience and a CPA license, with strong cash management, budgeting, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years of solid experience in General Accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant license is required.
• On-site work at MOA, Pasay City from Monday to Friday 9am-6pm.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring & coaching of finance personnel, regular property visit.
• Regular supervision to Property Accountants.
• Preparation of finance internal control, policies & procedures.
• Ensure 100% filing of BIR returns & other government agencies within deadlines.
• Review of annual budget of managed properties.
• Ensure managed properties have updated audited Financial Statements.
• Ensure accurate and updated accounting books with data retention compliance.
• Ensure timely release of financial reports and effective cash handling.
• Review of cash flows, collections, and investment opportunities.

Job Description:

• Mentoring & coaching of finance personnel, regular property visit
• Regular supervision to Property Accountants
• Preparation of finance internal control, policies & procedures
• Ensure strict implementation of set internal controls, policies & procedures
• Ensure 100% filing of BIR returns & other government agencies requirements within deadline; review of accuracy of BIR returns & attachments
• Ensure managed properties have updated audited Financial Statements
• Ensure managed properties have accurate and updated accounting books, with data retention period compliant with regulatory requirements
• Ensure accurate & timely release of financial reports
• Implementation of managed properties collection policy that leads to higher collection rate
• Ensure efficient billing & collections process of managed properties resulting to customer satisfaction
• Ensure proper cash handling of managed properties funds in terms of day to day receipts and reimbursements as well as investments to maximize cash investment opportunities
• Review of annual budget of managed properties
• May be temporarily assigned to managed properties, when deemed necessary
