Accounting Officer - General Accounting

Job summary

SMDC is seeking a qualified Accountant on-site in Pasay to ensure timely monthly statements and robust financial controls. The role covers bank reconciliations, tax returns, budgeting, and compliance with procurement and disbursement processes.

Requirements include a BS Accountancy degree, CPA preferred, and at least 3 years of general accounting experience. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, on-site at MOA, Pasay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy or any major in Accounting courses.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in general accounting.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate release of monthly statement of accounts.
• Implementation of collection policy.
• Ensure collections are deposited intact within set cut-off.
• Monthly preparation of bank reconciliation.
• Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports: Balance Sheet, Collection Efficiency, Accounts Receivable Aging, Cash Position and Cash Flow, Updated Audited Financial Statements.
• 100% filing of BIR returns and other government agencies requirements within deadline.
• Income Tax Returns
• VAT Returns
• Withholding Tax Returns
• Assist in preparation and review of annual budget
• Management of handled property expense thru compliance with set procurement and disbursement process
