Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Additional certifications in finance, taxation, or accounting are an advantage.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory accounting role.
• Experience in real estate, property development, retail, wholesale, FMCG, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries is highly preferred.
• Strong background in financial reporting, taxation, general accounting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Ensure timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for cash, receivables, payables, inventory, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain and continuously improve the chart of accounts and accounting policies.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of ERP and accounting systems.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of statutory audits.
• Develop, implement, and strengthen accounting policies, financial procedures, and internal control frameworks.
• Ensure proper controls over cash management, procurement, inventory, fixed assets, and expense disbursements.
• Review operating and capital expenditures, including supporting documentation and applicable taxes, prior to payment.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process improvements and automation.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of tax returns and government reports.
• Maintain complete documentation to support tax filings, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and government agencies on tax-related matters.
• Support tax planning initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
