Job summary

GT Consultants & Associates seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations across real estate, agribusiness, and retail segments. You will ensure timely financial reporting, tax compliance, and strong internal controls, partnering with senior management on planning and business decisions.

The role requires leadership of the accounting team, expertise in Philippine standards, and hands-on management of end-to-end accounting processes to support growth and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• At least 5 years in supervisory/managerial role preferred.
• Strong experience in tax compliance, tax planning, and regulatory reporting.
• Solid knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax laws.
• Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and timely submission of accurate financial statements for all operations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
• Manage tax compliance including VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, and filings/remittances.
• Monitor tax deadlines and government reporting to avoid penalties.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions: GL, AP, AR, taxation.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; ensure accuracy and productivity.
• Collaborate with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
• Review processes to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
• Support audits and address audit findings.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial and accounting operations of a diversified organization with businesses across real estate, agribusiness, and retail.

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, tax compliance, effective internal controls, and efficient accounting operations. The successful candidate will also partner with senior management in financial planning, analysis, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial statements for real estate, agribusiness, and retail operations

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management decision-making

• Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements

• Manage tax compliance, including VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, and other regulatory filings and remittances

• Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submission of all government reports to avoid penalties and compliance issues

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and taxation

• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks

• Conduct tax planning and analysis to identify opportunities for tax efficiency while maintaining full regulatory compliance

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and adherence to accounting policies

• Collaborate closely with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic business initiatives

• Review accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities

• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and accounting-related concerns

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CPA license is an advantage

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity preferred

• Strong experience in tax compliance, tax planning, and regulatory reporting

• Solid knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations

• Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting operations and financial reporting

• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
