Job summary

HRTX in Makati is seeking a highly experienced finance leader to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and year-end closing. You will lead a finance team and ensure accuracy of records, inventory, payables, receivables, and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, a CPA, at least 10 years in accounting with 3+ in retail, and proven supervisory abilities. Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years accounting experience, 3+ years in retail.
• Experience in supervisory role and leading finance team; strong Excel skills.

• Support business growth through financial analysis, process improvements, accounting system/ERP implementation, and effective management of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including transaction recording, reconciliations, financial reporting, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies covering cash handling, inventory, procurement, and expenses.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records, including inventory, fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, tax filings, and coordination with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies.
• Support business growth through financial analysis, process improvements, accounting system/ERP implementation, and effective management of the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license is required, with additional finance, accounting, or tax certifications considered an advantage.
• At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in retail, preferably in a large-format retail environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role, with the ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
