You will drive policy development, coordinate audits, and provide reliable financial information to stakeholders while optimizing cash flow and working

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting management experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards.
• CPA or CMA qualification is highly desirable.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and reporting in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team based in Cavite Calabarzon. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of our financial reporting and accounting operations. As Accounting Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, manage a team of accounting professionals, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. This role is instrumental in supporting the organisation's financial management objectives and providing reliable financial information to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Managing and supervising the accounting team, including recruitment, training, performance management and professional development
• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries
• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial records
• Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures and controls to strengthen financial operations
• Coordinating with external auditors and preparing for audit activities
• Analysing financial data and preparing reports for management and stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with tax obligations and regulatory reporting requirements
• Monitoring and managing accounts to optimise cash flow and working capital
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing efficiency enhancements within the accounting function

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting management or a senior accounting role within a similar organisational environment
• Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory standards
• Demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation and analysis
• Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial records
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders
• Professional accounting qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly desirable
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Knowledge of tax compliance and reporting requirements in the Philippines is advantageous
