MEGA PRIME FOODS INCORPORATED is seeking an Accounting Manager in Metro Manila to oversee the accounting team and ensure timely financial reporting in line with PFRS. The role includes managing ledgers, payroll, tax compliance, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing, and strong leadership and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• CPA license preferred.
• Experience with PFRS and Philippine tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting team.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger, payables, receivables and payroll records.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closings.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS and local tax regulations.
• Support audits with required documentation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting team.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll records.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in accounting operations.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff to strengthen team performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA license preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in FMCG or manufacturing is a plus.
• Solid understanding of PFRS and Philippine tax regulations.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
