This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, timely financial statements, and collaboration with auditors and management to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has CPA certification and at least five years in accounting leadership

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at our Kawit Cavite location on a full-time basis. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and financial reporting functions of NXTMILE Motors Inc. This position is integral to ensuring accurate financial management, regulatory compliance, and the provision of timely financial information to support business decision-making. You will lead a team of accounting professionals and serve as a key point of contact for all financial matters within the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards.

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing coaching, training, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.

• Manage the annual budget preparation process and monitor variance analysis against actual results.

• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely provision of necessary documentation and information.

• Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and executive leadership to support strategic planning.

• Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional qualification

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly preferred

• Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in accounting management or senior accounting roles, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sectors

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance regulations relevant to the Philippines

• Proven experience in managing and leading accounting teams of varying sizes

• Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools

• Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Experience with automotive industry accounting practices and regulations is advantageous
