Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an experienced Accounting / Finance Associate (Senior) to join our Pasay office. You will manage journal entries, close processes, and maintain the general ledger in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite role requires at least six years in accounting, strong Excel and ERP/QuickBooks skills, and knowledge of GAAP. CPA is a plus; expect collaboration with auditors and internal teams, with exposure to diverse financial tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or applicable standard).
• Must be willing to report onsite in Pasay office.
• CPA or Controller-level background is preferred, but not a deal breaker.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, prepaid, payables, receivables).
• Lead and execute month-end and year-end close activities, identifying issues and improving close efficiency.
• Maintain and update the general ledger.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare periodic financial reports using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management tasks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., auditors).
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Assist with audit preparation and document retrieval.
• Manage financial data in QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online.
• Support ERP transitions and testing during upgrades.
• Provide guidance and escalation support to the team.
• Backup support across finance functions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work setup & shift: Onsite | Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, prepaid, payables, receivables).
• Lead and execute month-end and year-end close activities, identifying complex reconciliation issues and continuously improving the efficiency and accuracy of the close process. Help prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain and update the general ledger.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly) using advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management tasks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., auditors) on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Assist with audit preparation (retrieve documents, prepare working papers).
• Manage and maintain financial data within QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online.
• Support system transitions and ERP improvements, providing feedback and testing during software upgrades or migrations.
• Act as a point of contact for team escalations and questions, support team members through ongoing guidance, and partner with leadership to help align priorities and workflow.
• Provide backup support across finance functions based on team needs and operational demands.
• Other duties as assigned based on department and/or company operation and/or business needs.
