Job summary

MicroSourcing in Parañaque City is seeking a Finance and Accounting Specialist to manage month-end and year-end close, ensure accurate reconciliations, and prepare timely financial statements for leadership.

The role requires GAAP/IFRS compliance, collaboration with other departments, and support for external audits. Strong Excel and ERP experience (QB/NetSuite/SAP/Xero) and 2–4 years of accounting work are preferred. Onsite, day shift with competitive rewards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of general accounting, financial analysis, or GL management.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with common accounting software/ERP (QB, NetSuite, SAP, Xero).
  • Strong written and verbal English for reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for stakeholders (BS, P&L, cash flow).
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and local tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist external audit preparation.

Your Role
  • Manage the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries and general ledger accounts are accurately reconciled.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow reports, for stakeholder review.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis comparing actual financial results against budgeted figures to identify trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with GAAP or IFRS and local tax and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional departments and assist external audit preparation by gathering required financial documentation.
Qualifications (Non‑negotiables)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 to 4 years of solid experience in general accounting, financial analysis, or general ledger management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Hands‑on experience with standard accounting software or ERP platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero).
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills for reporting financial insights clearly to team members.
Preferred Skills / Expertise
  • Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation.
  • Prior experience working within a BPO, shared services, or offshore corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a proven track record of finding and correcting balance discrepancies.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict financial reporting deadlines.
