Job summary

Metro Pacific Tollways in Cebu, Philippines seeks an accounting professional to handle general accounting and insurance functions and support the finance team during monthly close.

You will ensure timely recording, prepare AP vouchers, monitor fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and assist with regulatory filings and audits as required by management. Work closely with your supervisor to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Handle the general accounting and Insurance functions and work with the superior and teammates to ensure that transactions are timely and properly captured and recorded in the Company’s books and/or accounting system.
• Prepare and monitor monthly financial reports, schedules & analyses, inventories and reconciliations for review by the Finance Head and Parent Company.
• Ensure regulatory and tax filings/reports are submitted, filed and paid on time.
• Provide reports and analyses required by auditors and management as requested and approved.
• Prepare Accounts Payable Vouchers (APV’s) to timely process payments to suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor and record the Company’s fixed assets / inventories.
• Prepare and/or review monthly bank reconciliations, fixed assets rollforward schedule, and tax returns.
• Support the accounting team in the monthly and yearly financial close process, ensuring accruals and adjustments are captured on time.
