Job summary

Asiacruit BPO, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounting operations for the insurance and financial services space. You will ensure accurate financial data, manage day-to-day tasks, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.

You will collaborate with accounting, finance, billing, claims, and operations teams to ensure correct transaction recording, timely reconciliations, and compliant documentation in line with policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting or finance.
• 1+ year of experience in accounting support or related role.
• Working knowledge of double-entry accounting, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis.
• Experience with ERP or financial management software.
• Strong English communication and attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process AP/AR transactions, including invoices, payments, deposits, refunds, and adjustments.
• Prepare routine journal entries including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and corrections.
• Verify coding accuracy and completeness of billing and payment records before posting.
• Maintain organized accounting files, audit trails, and financial documentation.
• Assist with data validation and ensure transactions are recorded in correct accounts and periods.
• Record and reconcile insurance-related transactions (premiums, commissions, claims, refunds).
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and prepare schedules and reports.
• Assist with audits by compiling schedules, documentation, and evidence.
