Job summary

Smartsourcing in Cebu City, Philippines is hiring a full-time onsite Accountant to own the end-to-end accounting cycle—from journals through to group P&L and audit-ready reporting.

You will lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register, intercompany and tax duties, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive process improvements in a semi-structured environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting experience spanning general accounting and P&L, including at least 2 years at senior-accountant level.
• Experience with month-end / year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register, and taxation duties.
• Intercompany accounting experience expected.
• Audit background, bookkeeping, and AP/AR exposure advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare journals and depreciation schedules; reconcile assets.
• Prepare group P&L and audit-ready reports; support external audits.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and levy/gift voucher accounts.
• Assist with taxation obligations and statutory compliance.
• Support system improvements and AI readiness initiatives.
