Job summary

UNITOP GENERAL MERCHANDISE, INC. is seeking an entry-level accounting assistant to join our finance team in Metro Manila. The role requires a Bachelor's/College Degree in a related field and less than 1 year of experience.

You will handle accounts receivable and payable, tax filing, and ensure timely submission and compliance with BIR requirements, while supporting the preparation of financial reports for senior management and liaising with government agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Mathematics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Less than 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Account Receivables and payables
• Preparing and filing tax returns
• Responsible for the on-time preparation, filing, submission, and monitoring acknowledgement of obligations compliance to BIR
• Responsible for the checking of the correctness and completeness of vouchers, statement of accounts, other accounting documents compliance to BIR regulations and internal policies.
• Responsible for the monitoring and checking the complete and proper filing of BIR accountable forms.
• Responsible for liaison with government agencies for concerns in the submission and filing of compliance obligations.
• Prepare various financial reports as required by top management.
• Prepares necessary documents needed by other teams in compliance with the Government Reportorial Requirements
• Performs other duties as required.
• Other tasks initiated by the Management
