Savent Corporation is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team in Carmona, Cavite on a full-time basis. You will record transactions, maintain ledgers, and assist with financial statements and tax compliance to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.

You'll work closely with the accounting team, handle month-end close, reconcile accounts, and support audits. Strong Excel skills and a solid grasp of GAAP and Philippine tax rules are essential for success.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent qualification).
• Prior accounting or finance experience, preferably with taxation exposure.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel for analysis.
• Good understanding of GAAP and basic tax concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.
• Experience handling confidential financial information with ethics.
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations preferred.

About the role

Savent Corporation is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team on a full-time basis in Carmona, Cavite. This role is fundamental to our accounting operations, providing essential support in taxation and accounting functions that directly contribute to the accuracy and compliance of our financial records. As an Accounting Associate, you will work closely with our accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports

• Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring accuracy of all entries

• Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records on a monthly basis

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Supporting tax compliance activities, including the organisation and documentation of tax-related materials

• Responding to audit inquiries and providing supporting documentation as required

• Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing

• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation

• Supporting the accounting team with ad hoc projects and special requests as needed

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally with exposure to taxation matters

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and data management

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and basic tax concepts

• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence

• A professional approach to handling confidential financial information with high ethical standards

• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred
