About the role

Something Nice Environmental, Corp. is seeking a Finance Associate to join our finance team in Binan City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in managing our accounts payable operations and supporting the broader financial functions of the organisation. As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in accounting and contribute meaningfully to the financial health of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and entry into the accounting system

• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies or payment issues promptly

• Preparing cheques, electronic payments and other payment documentation for authorisation and processing

• Maintaining accurate and organised records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation

• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of reconciliation schedules and financial reports

• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to address invoice queries and payment inquiries

• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review

• Ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and relevant financial regulations

• Performing general administrative and clerical duties to support the finance department

What we're looking for

• A qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline from an accredited institution

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and transaction processing

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information effectively

• A professional demeanour and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoicing procedures and supplier management is desirable

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
