About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our dynamic accounting team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting career whilst supporting the financial operations of our diverse client base. As an Accounting Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial records, whilst gaining valuable exposure to a variety of accounting functions. You will work alongside experienced accountants and finance professionals, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality accounting services.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions accurately in accordance with accounting principles and client requirements
• Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements and other financial accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients
• Performing general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
• Supporting the completion of tax compliance documentation and submissions
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation to ensure audit trails are clear and comprehensive
• Responding to client enquiries regarding accounts and financial information in a professional manner
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Utilising accounting software and systems to enter, verify and manage financial data
• Supporting senior accountants with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software particulary Quickbooks and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information to non-accounting professionals
• High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality and data security
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Professional demeanour and strong work ethic
• Previous accounting experience or internship in an accounting firm or corporate finance department is advantageous
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations is desirable
