Horizon Auto Services Inc. (HASI) is seeking an Accounting Assistant (Cashier) to manage daily cashiering, payments, and financial recordkeeping for its BYD dealership network in the Philippines.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and strong numerical skills to support the accounting team. The position involves handling cash and non-cash transactions, preparing reports, and coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or related field.
• 1–2 years of cashiering or accounting support experience.
• Experience in automotive dealership is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Experience with cash handling, collections, and reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.
• Experience using accounting software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Trustworthy, organized, and able to handle confidential financial information.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work on a six (6)-day workweek.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash and non-cash transactions (cash, checks, cards).
• Receive and process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Issue receipts and necessary payment documents.
• Prepare daily collection reports and record transactions.
• Perform daily cash counting, balancing, and reconciliation.
• Record and update financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of collections and cash.
• Assist in reconciling cash, bank, and other records.
• Prepare accounting reports and financial documents.
• Coordinate with Sales, Aftersales, Parts on payment matters.
• Attend to customer inquiries regarding payments and receipts.
• Maintain organized records of receipts, reports, and deposits.
• Support Accounting team with admin tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash and non-cash transactions, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and other approved payment methods.

• Receive and process customer payments accurately and efficiently.

• Issue official receipts and other required payment documents.

• Prepare daily collection reports and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

• Perform daily cash counting, balancing, and reconciliation.

• Prepare and process cash and check transactions in accordance with company procedures.

• Record and update financial transactions in the accounting system.

• Monitor and maintain accurate records of collections, cash, and other financial transactions.

• Assist in reconciling cash, bank, and other accounting records.

• Verify supporting documents and ensure completeness and accuracy of transactions.

• Assist in preparing accounting reports and other financial documents.

• Coordinate with Sales, Aftersales, Parts, and other departments regarding payment and account-related concerns.

• Attend to customer inquiries regarding payments, receipts, and other cashiering concerns.

• Maintain organized and updated records of receipts, collection reports, deposit slips, and other accounting documents.

• Assist the Accounting team with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

• Perform other duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or any related field.

• At least 1–2 years of experience in cashiering, accounting support, bookkeeping, or a similar role.

• Experience in an automotive dealership is an advantage.

• Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.

• Experience in cash handling, collections, and reconciliation.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience using accounting software is an advantage.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
