SUMITOMO MITSUI CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD. in Metro Manila seeks an experienced Accountant for a project-based assignment. The role covers payroll remittance, general accounting, bookkeeping, and journal entries for project-finance activities.

Candidate must have 3+ years in accounting, knowledge of taxation, and ability to coordinate with Japanese colleagues and other departments. Overtime and Monday-Saturday work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in accounting.
• Skills in general accounting, bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Preferably with Accounts Payable in construction industry.
• Basic knowledge in Taxation.
• Proficient English with Japanese colleagues and cross-department collaboration.
• Willing to work from Monday to Saturday and overtime.
• Project-based employment arrangement.

Responsabilités

• Prepare payments and handle petty cash.
• Prepare salary remittances and ledger entries.
• Encode transactions in accounting system.
• Process petty cash transactions and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly reports for head office.
• Perform banking transactions and coordinate with project concerns.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Required Skill(s): General Accounting, Bookkeeping, Financial accounting, Management, Cost Accounting.

• Preferably with Accounts Payable experience in construction industry.

• Basic knowledge in Taxation

• Ability to communicate proficiently in English Language with Japanese Colleagues and can do collaborative approach with other departments.

• Can work from Monday to Saturday and willing to render overtime.

• Amenable to work as Project-based employee.
