Job summary

The role oversees daily accounting operations, month-end close, cost monitoring, and collaboration with management to drive financial performance across units. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or freight industry is a strong advantage, but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including billing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing process and ensure timely preparation of financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Monitor and analyze cost structures, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with contractual terms and accounting standards.
• Maintain strong internal controls across departments or multiple business units.
• Collaborate with operations and management teams to understand cost drivers and improve financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee cash flow management and working capital requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely and accurate tax filings in compliance with local regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
