STONEBROTHERS INCORPORATED is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all accounting operations within its fast-growing transportation and logistics group. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and planning, cash flow management, compliance and risk management, and team leadership of the finance department.

This role also drives strategic systems changes, including ERP implementation, to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Accounting and/or Audit.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review income statements, balance sheets, and quarterly/annual reports.
• Budgeting & Planning: Develop organizational budgets and monitor spending against targets.
• Cash Flow Management: Track liquidity for daily operations.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure internal practices align with regulations and standards.
• Strategic Systems: Lead ERP evaluation, selection, and implementation.
• Team Leadership: Oversee AR, AP, and cost accounting within the finance department.

About the role

This role involves overseeing all accounting operations within a fast-growing transportation and logistics company. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and planning, cash flow management, compliance and risk management, strategic systems implementation, and team leadership of the finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate income statements, balance sheets, and quarterly/annual reports

• Budgeting & Planning: Develop organizational budgets and collaborate with department heads to track spending against targets

• Cash Flow Management: Monitor money flowing in and out of the business to ensure liquidity for daily operational needs

• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all internal financial practices align with government regulations, tax laws, and industry standards

• Strategic Systems: Spearhead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of an ERP system to streamline operations

• Team Leadership: Oversee the finance department by managing day-to-day accounting operations including AR, AP, and cost accounting

Job Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy

• At least 3 years of working experience in Accounting and/or Audit is preferred

• Attitude: Hardworking, result/team oriented, adaptable, resilient, and upholds integrity and honesty

• Must have strong leadership and decision-making skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
