Qualifications

• Certification as an Accountant (CPA or equivalent) or accounting diploma/degree.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Excel; ERP experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Record and process financial transactions per GAAP.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts with proper documentation.

About the role

Accounting professional to join our Finance team in a full-time capacity. Based in Taguig City, Metro Manila, this role is fundamental to maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our organisation. As an Accounting professional, you will play a crucial part in our financial operations, ensuring that all accounting records, reports, and financial statements are prepared with precision and in compliance with relevant accounting standards. Your contributions will directly support our business decision-making processes and help drive the company towards its financial objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing financial transactions accurately in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly documented and reconciled

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Conducting bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking

• Supporting the preparation of financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities

• Assisting with audit preparations and coordinating with external auditors

• Maintaining accurate and organised financial documentation and records

• Identifying and reporting potential accounting errors or irregularities

• Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information and supporting documentation

What we're looking for

• Certification as an Accountant (CPA or equivalent professional qualification) or relevant accounting diploma/degree

• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a similar industry or organisation

• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the Philippines

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex financial transactions

• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino

• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
