The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting and CPA, with 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, and strong Excel skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

Filcon Ventures Inc is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. As an Accountant, you will be instrumental in supporting the financial health and strategic decision-making of our organisation through precise financial accounting and reporting.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing
• Reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Performing account analysis and investigating discrepancies or unusual transactions
• Supporting the audit process by providing required documentation and explanations
• Assisting with tax compliance and preparation of tax-related documentation
• Maintaining organised financial filing systems and ensuring proper documentation retention
• Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices relevant to the Philippines
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all financial work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Sound understanding of internal controls and risk management principles
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements in the Philippines is advantageous
