Job Summary
The Team Leader – Retirement Services is responsible for managing a team handling retirement account administration, pension processing, and related financial transactions. The role ensures accurate processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, SLA adherence, and high-quality client service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team handling retirement account operations (enrollments, contributions, distributions, transfers, loan processing, beneficiary updates).
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Monitor daily productivity, quality scores, and SLA adherence.
- Review complex or high-risk transactions before final approval.
- Handle escalations from clients, plan sponsors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Maintain and track KPIs such as TAT, accuracy rate, error rate, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Client Relationship teams.
- Support audits (internal/external) and ensure documentation readiness.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in retirement services, pension administration, financial services, or benefits processing.
- Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory or SME/Acting TL role preferred.
- Strong understanding of retirement products (401(k), pension plans, provident funds, IRA, etc.).
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to retirement services.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting.
