Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking an Account Officer in Cebu to help achieve loan volume targets while maintaining profitability and sound credit quality and delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves attending to MSME loan inquiries, soliciting microfinance loans, analyzing applicants, initiating credit and collection activities, coordinating with other units, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed, as required.
• Experience in microfinance sales is an advantage.
• Proactive and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet customer needs.
• Analyze loan applicants' qualifications for feasibility.
• Initiate credit and collection activities to secure credit quality.
• Coordinate with bank officers/units on processing and servicing loans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job description

The Account Officer is responsible for achieving loan volume targets. In this role, the Account Officer is expected to maintain profitability and sound credit quality, as well as extend good customer service in line with the Banks standards and requirements.

The Account Officer is also expected to attend to inquiries of clients on MSME loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet the business needs of the customer
• Analyze overall loan applicant’s qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Initiates credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts
• Coordinates with other bank officers or units related to the processing and servicing of loan applications and loan clients
• Perform other functions that may be assigned to him/her
• Ensure compliance with Banks policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Completion of any Bachelors’ degree
• Sales and fieldwork experience on Microfinance is an advantage

Required Skills

• Good selling and customer service skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Preferably can drive a motorcycle
