Job summary

BDO Unibank in Parañaque is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of loan officer. The role involves achieving loan volume targets while ensuring customer service excellence and maintaining credit quality. You will be responsible for soliciting microfinance loan accounts and conducting thorough analyses of applicants’ qualifications.

The ideal candidate should possess a 4-year degree, excellent communication and selling skills, and preferably have experience in fieldwork and microfinance sales. Familiarity with computer software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in fieldwork and sales in Microfinance is an advantage.
• Ability to drive a motorcycle is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for achieving loan volume targets while maintaining profitability, sound credit quality and good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit microfinance loan accounts to meet the business needs of the customer
• Analyze overall loan applicant’s qualifications to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Initiates credit and collection activities to ensure credit quality of accounts
• Coordinates with concerned officers and/or other units related to processing and servicing of loan applications and loan clients
• Ensures adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures
• Execute sales and/or marketing activities that will achieve volume targets
• Attends to inquiries and other requirements of the clients
• Review and update customer loan files, loan agreements, etc. to ensure adequacy for credit processing and loan booking
• Perform other functions that may be assigned to him/her

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4‑year degree course
• Possesses good selling, communication and customer service skills
• Possesses basic mathematical knowledge
• Has high integrity
• Preferably familiar with computer software including word processing and spreadsheets
• Experience in fieldwork and sales on Microfinance is an advantage
• Preferably can drive a motorcycle
