Job summary

Chimera Entertainment in Cebu, Philippines is seeking a skilled 3D Animator to join our in-house team and bring characters to life from keyframes to final polish in-engine. You will collaborate with artists, designers and programmers to produce animations for gameplay, interactions and cinematics across our projects.

You should have strong animation fundamentals, a solid portfolio, and hands-on experience with Blender or Maya, plus rigging, skinning and retargeting.

Qualifications

• Minimum professional experience as a 3D Animator in game development.
• Strong timing, weight, posing, movement and character performance.
• Portfolio or demo reel demonstrating animation skills.
• Proficiency in Blender or Maya (professional package).
• Experience with rigging, skinning and retargeting.
• Experience with real-time game engines, preferably Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Good English communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D character animations for gameplay, interactions and cinematics.
• Develop expressive animations using keyframe animation; use motion capture data if available.
• Adapt animations to different gameplay requirements and visual styles.
• Implement, test and refine animations directly in the game engine.
• Create and adjust character rigs, perform skinning and retarget animations.
• Collaborate with artists, designers and programmers to support visual quality and gameplay.
• Contribute to efficient animation workflows and continually improve the animation pipeline.
