Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking an Applications Support Specialist to provide technical support for applications, system software, compilers, and related tools. You will handle malfunction analysis and ensure continuous operation of live services in a telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring, testing, incident resolution per SLA, and regular reporting. Candidates should have IT education and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with strong Unix/Linux and PHP skills.

Qualifications

• Education in IT or related field as required.
• 1-2 years of experience in application support or similar.
• Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux, PHP, and databases.
• Experience with monitoring tools and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assists 24/7 operations through monitoring and maintenance of live services.
• Initiates functional testing for critical services as part of monitoring.
• Corrects errors and modifies existing software.
• Upgrades interfaces by updating hardware for performance.
• Studies the existing system and recommends upgrades.
• Ensures incidents are acknowledged/resolved/escalated per SLA.
• Responds to business requests with timely results.
• Supports monthly backup and log cleanup.
• Prepares reports for live services on request.
• Ensures daily reports and stats reach stakeholders.
