NCS Philippines is seeking a Junior Application Support Specialist to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across applications and software. You will support end-users, document processes, and collaborate with senior team members to enhance software functionality.
Ideal candidates are college graduates in IT or related fields with knowledge of Unix/Linux, PHP, SQL databases, and security concepts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
The Junior Application Support Specialist assists in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to applications and software, supports end-users, documents processes, and collaborates with senior team members to provide essential technical support and enhance software functionality.
Support the Application Support team in maintaining 24/7 operations by monitoring and maintaining all live services, platforms, and gateways
Initiate functional testing for critical services as part of ongoing monitoring efforts
Ensure that service incidents are promptly acknowledged, resolved, or escalated in adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and diligently follow up until resolution
Acknowledge and address all business and customer requests and concerns in a timely manner
Prepare and generate reports and statistics for live services upon request while ensuring the accuracy and functionality of daily reporting mechanisms, including email, web tools, SMS, and other communication channels
College graduate in Information Technology preferred or an equivalent of education plus experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Software Engineering, or Computer Software Technology
Experience in the Telco industry is a plus
Knowledgeable in Unix/Linux shell scripting and basic PHP programming
Knowledge of MySQL/Postgres/Mongo queries
Must be familiar with network and system security
Ability to troubleshoot system and network problems in Linux/Unix
Ability to work cooperatively with key team members, clients, and vendors
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
