Join MGM Resorts International at Vdara as a Lead Lifeguard, overseeing pool safety, guest comfort, and exceptional service in a serene resort setting. You will lead the lifeguard team, enforce safety protocols, and ensure calm, attentive guest experiences while delivering WOW moments reflecting MGM’s hospitality standards.

The position starts at $17.87 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, plus lifeguard experience.

Formación

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ Years of Prior Lifeguard Experience in a resort setting preferred.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the pool staff to meet safety standards, service delivery, cleanliness and ambiance; coordinate with supporting departments to meet operational needs.
• Ensure staff safety by monitoring water and deck areas and responding to emergencies; adhere to safety policies and legal requirements.
• Report all incidents to a supervisor and complete needed documentation.
• Engage with guests, greet and interact while upholding service standards.
• Assist guests with poolside needs, seating, towels, hours, ADA requirements, amenities, directions, and other needs.
• Respond promptly to guest needs and resolve issues with proactive problem-solving.
• Supervise daily pool setup/breakdown, cleaning, linen distribution, and environment maintenance.

The Job

As a Lead Lifeguard for Pool at Vdara, you will provide leadership and support within a serene, boutique pool environment by ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall enjoyment of every guest. You will model exceptional guest service through a welcoming, attentive approach while overseeing lifeguard operations, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with all procedures and standards. By understanding guests’ individual needs and creating a calm, well‑managed atmosphere, you will help deliver personalized experiences and memorable WOW moments that reflect Vdara’s focus on relaxation, wellness, and elevated hospitality.

THE STARTING RATE: $17.87 Hourly

The Day-to-day

• Oversee the pool staff to meet safety standards, service delivery, cleanliness and ambiance; work with supporting departments to meet operational needs of the area.
• Ensure the staff is providing safety by watching over water and deck areas and responding to emergency situations; adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property.
• Report all guests and employee incidents/accidents to a supervisor and complete needed documentation.
• Ensure the staff is proactively greeting and interacting with guests while adhering to company service standards.
• Assist guests with pool side needs to include seating, towels, hours of operations, ADA requirements, amenities, directions and other needs.
• Respond and resolve guest needs in a timely manner and creatively solve problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
• Supervise the completion of daily pool set-up and breakdown needs, cleaning, linen distribution and maintaining attentiveness to the environment to enhance guest experience.

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Lifeguard Experience in resort setting experience preferred
• Availability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays preferred
