Job summary

Oman Air is seeking a stores officer responsible for receipt, binning, packing and dispatch of aircraft maintenance materials, ensuring accurate location updates and adherence to company guidelines.

The role includes issuing spares and tools to maintenance teams and third parties, packing for repair or exchange, and maintaining cleanliness and environmental conditions in engineering stores. Diploma plus aviation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years college diploma in a related field.
• Specialized certificate/licence with secondary certificate and six years aviation experience in a similar function.
• Proficient in English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, binning, packing and dispatch of materials for aircraft maintenance.
• Issue spares to Base and Line Maintenance/Third Party.
• Issue tools to Base and Line Maintenance/Third Party.
• Pack spares and update locations in the system.
• Maintain cleanliness and monitor temperature/humidity in engineering stores.
• Check and receive unserviceable spares in quarantine.
• Receive third-party unserviceable spares for repair and raise client work orders.
• Pack all spares for dispatch for repair or exchange.
• Receive and pack third-party items for dispatch.
• Carry out other duties directed by superiors.

Role Objective

Responsible for all day-to-day activities related to the receipt, binning, packing, dispatch, and associated activities for all materials used in aircraft maintenance, within the guidelines set and followed by the Company.

Area of responsibility

1. 1. Operations
2. 2. Issue of spares to Base and Line Maintenance/Third Party.
3. 3. Issue of Tools to Base and Line Maintenance/Third Party.
4. 4. Packing of spares, binning spares and updating locations of spares in system
5. 5. Maintain cleanliness in the Engineering stores areas and ensure monitoring of temperature and humidity in Engineering stores.
6. 6. Check and receive all unserviceable spares in quarantine for further action
7. 7. Receive all third-party unserviceable spares for repair and raise client work orders.
8. 8. Pack all spares properly in special boxes ready for dispatch either for repair or exchange
9. 9. Receive and pack all third-party items for dispatch.
10. 10. Carry out any other duties directed by superiors.

Education & Experience

• Two years College Diploma in related field.
• Specialized certificate/ license in the related field with Secondary certificate and having 6 years of aviation experience in a similar function.

• Proficient in MS Office.
• Understanding of materials management skills & knowledge in aircraft materials
