Senior Quantity Surveyor — Duqm Factory Project

Job summary

gu-recruitment seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a factory construction project in Duqm, Oman. You will manage all commercial aspects, including take-offs, cost control, BOQ, valuations, and contract administration to ensure on-budget delivery.

You will collaborate with PM, engineering, procurement and construction teams, handling variation orders, invoicing, and financial forecasting with attention to contractual compliance. Fluency in English is required; Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in industrial/factory/heavy civil projects.
• Experience in Oman or GCC preferred.
• Proficient in cost control and contract administration.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts desirable.
• Strong English, Chinese is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantities from drawings and specs.
• Develop and maintain BOQ.
• Monitor costs, budgets, commitments, and cash flow.
• Prepare monthly valuations and commercial reports.
• Review subcontractor invoices and progress claims.
• Evaluate quotations and support procurement.
• Manage variations and contractual claims.
• Maintain cost control systems and forecasting.
