The role involves ensuring that all phases—from planning through construction—are delivered within budget, employing best practices in cost planning, procurement, and governance. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in quantity surveying and over 12 years of relevant experience.
Our client in the real estate development side is looking to hire an Omani Manager Quantity Surveyor for their company. The Quantity Surveying Manager will lead all cost, contract, and commercial management functions. The role ensures that all development phases—from master planning and design through construction and handover—are delivered within approved budgets, applying best practice in cost planning, procurement, value engineering, and contract administration. This position will act as the key commercial guardian of the project, working closely with Development, Design, and Project Delivery teams to maintain financial discipline, drive cost efficiency, and ensure transparent governance across consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field; MSc or MRICS preferred.
12–15 years of experience in cost and commercial management, with at least 7 years in a managerial role within a developer, PMC, or large-scale mixed-use/tourism project.
Strong command of FIDIC and Omani standard contract forms.
Proven experience across infrastructure, buildings, and master-planned developments.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel; exposure to BIM-integrated cost control tools is advantageous.
