Job summary

NTG is hiring a Senior Developer Experience Engineer in Muscat to enhance the developer experience for a national platform. You will own the tooling, documentation, SDKs, and the developer portal, ensuring integration is seamless for thousands of users.

Ideal candidates will have a background in engineering, experience with documentation as code, and a focus on measuring and improving developer metrics. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Own the developer experience of a national platform end to end, for the engineers who build it and the hundreds of entities who integrate with it, from golden paths and templates to API documentation, SDKs, and the developer portal.

RQMNA builds the sovereign platforms that hundreds of government entities integrate with, millions of citizens use, and our own engineers build on every day.

We are hiring a Senior Developer Experience Engineer, on site in Muscat, to make this platform fast to build on and easy to integrate with.

What you’ll do: Own how every developer experiences the platform, inside and out, tooling, docs, portal, SDKs, and the path to first success.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the developer experience end to end, for internal engineers and for the developers of integrating entities
• Build golden path templates, scaffolding, and self service tooling so internal teams ship on paved roads
• Improve the inner loop: local development, build times, and the friction between idea and running code
• Own the developer portal and API documentation, including OpenAPI based, interactive references
• Build and maintain SDKs, code samples, quickstarts, and reference integrations that entity developers can copy and run
• Cut the time from access to first successful integration, and turn recurring developer questions into better docs and tooling
• Write and maintain platform documentation as code, in version control and the pipeline, bilingual in English and Arabic
• Measure developer experience with real metrics, advocate for the developer in platform decisions, and set DevEx standards

• You have owned developer experience for a platform, internal, external, or both, and developers genuinely moved faster because of it
• You’re an engineer first: you build tooling, templates, and SDKs, and you read code well enough to document it accurately
• You work docs as code: Markdown, version control, OpenAPI, and a documentation pipeline
• You write with genuine clarity, and you make hard things simple, including with diagrams
• You think like the developer on the other side, internal or integrating, and you fight for their experience
• You measure friction and time to first success, and you improve them with evidence
• You hold a Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent track record
• Bonus points for internal developer platforms, public APIs, bilingual Arabic and English, or government and enterprise integration
• Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage
