Design and build the interface millions of citizens touch, accessible, mobile first, and fluent in Arabic right to left, on a design system built to scale.
RQMNA builds the sovereign platforms through which governments and large enterprises serve millions of people.
We are hiring a Senior UI/UX Engineer, on site in Muscat, to design and build the experience every citizen sees.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build accessible, responsive interfaces that millions of citizens use across web and mobile
- Own and grow a design system: components, design tokens, and patterns that scale across many applications
- Engineer production Front End in modern frameworks, turning designs into clean, performant code
- Make the platform fully bilingual, with first class Arabic right to left layout and typography
- Meet accessibility standards (WCAG) so services work for everyone
- Run user research and usability testing, and let evidence shape the design
- Partner with product, architects, and Back End engineers to ship coherent end to end experiences
- Set Front End and design standards, and mentor designers and developers
What makes you a fit
- You live at the seam of design and code, and you ship both
- You have built and maintained a real design system, not just screens
- You are fluent in a modern Front End framework such as React, and in design tooling such as Figma
- You treat accessibility and performance as requirements, not afterthoughts
- You have handled Arabic right to left, or another bidirectional or localized interface, and you know the traps
- You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field, or an equivalent portfolio
- Back design choices with user research, not just taste
- Bonus points for government, accessibility heavy, or large multilingual products
- Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage
