Job summary

GBM Oman is seeking a Presales Consultant specialized in automation and integration to bridge IBM solutions with client needs in Oman. You will architect integration strategies and act as a trusted advisor while engaging with enterprise customers.

The role requires strong technical acumen across IBM's Integration and Automation portfolio and excellent communication skills to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This on-site position supports our local customers from Muscat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS, IT or related field (Masters is a plus).
• 7–10 years of proven technical presales or consulting experience in the Omani market.
• Solid technical expertise in the core IBM Integration and Automation portfolio.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to propose effective architectures and build custom solutions that seamlessly connect enterprise systems.
• Command technical workshops to prove the value of IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM API Connect, and IBM MQ.
• Architect tailored integration frameworks leveraging IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration and IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation.
• Provide expert guidance on intelligent automation and event streaming utilizing IBM DataPower Gateway, IBM Event Automation, IBM Concert, and watsonx.orchestrate.
• Position IBM solutions effectively against competitor platforms like MuleSoft and Boomi, while understanding complementary technologies like Apache Kafka and Confluent.

HSE Requirements :

• Collaborate with HSE teams to implement safety controls, manage hazardous materials, and mitigate impacts.
• Promote a culture of safety within engineering teams, ensuring that all projects prioritize the well‑being of employees and the environment.
• Reports on progress/issues to HSE focal point
• Provide administrative support to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department. Maintain and organize HSE documentation, including records of incidents, audits, and training sessions.
• Support HSE focal point for all types of emergencies
