Job summary

SOCAT is seeking a seasoned Head of HR in Oman to lead the country HR function, shaping the strategy and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies. You will drive workforce nationalization, retention, and productivity while building a strong talent pipeline and cohesive culture.

You will coach leaders on sensitive HR issues, lead development plans, and foster diversity and inclusion while aligning with client and government standards.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of national HR leadership across multi-site roles.
• Strong knowledge of local labor law and payroll.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in international business environment and gender diversity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR function in the country and define the HR strategy and oversee HR operations.
• Implement and ensure compliance with employee relations programs, policies and local laws.
• Lead workforce nationalization programs and ensure integration, retention and productivity.
• Maintain records and reports to comply with standards and regulations.
• Provide coaching on high-level HR issues, development plans, training and career opportunities.
• Build a robust candidate pool through recruitment and succession planning.
• Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives aligned with group ambitions.
• Develop and implement succession planning and organizational development processes.
• Partner with leadership to drive business growth and employer of choice strategies.
• Drive employee engagement and retention strategies with leadership.
