Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub is seeking an Executive Chef for a luxury resort in Khasab, Oman. You will oversee all kitchen operations and lead a team to deliver exceptional cuisine and dining experiences for guests.

The role requires proven leadership, extensive culinary knowledge, and strong English communication. You will develop menus, manage costs, ensure health and safety compliance, and collaborate with F&B Management on special events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, menu development, and food cost control.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations in relation to food handling and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Develop creative and innovative menus that incorporate local ingredients and cater to different dietary requirements.
• Train, motivate, and lead a team of chefs to ensure high-quality food production and service.
• Maintain inventory levels and control costs by ordering supplies, managing waste, and monitoring portion sizes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to plan special events or promotions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve menu offerings based on guest feedback and market trends.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques to enhance culinary offerings.
