Job summary

BaseDynamics is seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine for our five-star resort in Khasab, Oman. You will lead all kitchen operations, plan menus with the Executive Chef, and ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Ideal candidates have proven experience in luxury settings, strong leadership, and a passion for creative, safe, and beautifully presented dishes. Accommodation is provided for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients and presentation.
• Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique culinary experiences.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Fluent English language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute menus for all dining outlets in collaboration with the Executive Chef
• Supervise and train kitchen staff ensuring high-quality standards are met
• Monitor food quality and presentation making adjustments as needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Manage inventory levels and ordering of supplies
• Create new dishes and update existing menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
