Job summary

Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard is seeking a Host/Hostess to join our Food & Beverage team. You will greet guests, manage reservations, coordinate seating, and ensure a smooth dining experience in line with brand standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (hospitality preferred), 1–2 years in F&B or guest service in hotels, and excellent English with a friendly, professional demeanor for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years in F&B service or guest reception, ideally in hotels.
• English fluency; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and escort to tables in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage reservations, waitlists and seating arrangements.

Description

We are looking for a Hostess / Host to join our Food & Beverage team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression by greeting guests, managing restaurant reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. The role works closely with the service and kitchen teams to maintain efficient guest flow while delivering friendly and professional service in accordance with Holiday Inn and IHG brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage restaurant reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate table assignments based on reservations, guest preferences, and operational requirements.
• Monitor restaurant occupancy and communicate table availability with the Food & Beverage team.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences.
• Assist with VIP arrivals, group reservations, and special occasions to ensure personalized guest experiences.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area, ensuring menus and promotional materials are available and presented professionally.
• Coordinate with Captains, Food & Beverage Attendants, and the Kitchen to ensure smooth guest flow throughout service.
• Handle guest concerns courteously and elevate service issues to the Food & Beverage Supervisor when necessary.
• Answer telephone calls professionally, manage reservation inquiries, and provide accurate information about restaurant services and operating hours.
• Promote hotel dining promotions, special menus, and outlet events when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with hotel grooming standards, hygiene practices, and health & safety procedures.
• Support outlet operations during busy periods and perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Supervisor or Outlets Manager.
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Hospitality is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, restaurant reception, or guest service, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation or POS systems are an advantage.
• Well-groomed appearance with a strong customer service focus.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
