Job summary

Talabat Holding seeks a Category Manager to drive the tMart grocery ecosystem, including 30-minute delivery at hypermarket prices. You will own assortments, pricing, and promotions, while coordinating with regional teams and suppliers to optimize margin and performance.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and bring analytical rigor to category decisions, with strong communication in English and Arabic.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in progressive development and management of multiple product categories in large retailers (FMCG).
• Built teams and led cross-functional projects at scale.
• Very detail-oriented, structured, and able to prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own category management for assortments, pricing, offers and supply.
• Monitor sales, gross margin, profit and loss in line with commercial strategy.
• Ensure implementation of strategy and pricing guidelines; collaborate with Ops on flows and templates.
• Review issues with local suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Define local assortment and integrate basic assortment for departments/categories.
• Provide information on products/quantities for international/regional contracts.
• Negotiate with local suppliers on cost price, discounts, rebates and terms.
• Price items according to guidelines and PL/Imported items.
• Coordinate promotions and develop country promo calendar; ensure effective execution.
• Analyze market prices and local competitors; contribute to promotional insights.
