Job summary

Talabat is seeking a Category Manager to grow the tMart grocery store concept, delivering 30-minute delivery at hypermarket prices across multiple countries. You will own assortments, pricing, offers, and supplier relations while aligning with regional strategies.

The role requires leadership of cross-functional teams, strong data analysis, and decisive execution. The position focuses on expanding the local assortment, optimizing costs, and implementing promotional calendars.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in progressive development and management of multiple product categories in large retailers.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects at scale.
• Detail-oriented, structured, and able to prioritize.
• Willing to work on the warehouse floor or take calls as needed.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English; Arabic is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own category management including assortments, pricing, offers and supply.
• Monitor sales, gross margin, profit and loss in line with strategy.
• Implement pricing strategy and category plans.
• Provide inputs to Ops for flows, tools and templates.
• Review supplier issues and negotiate with local suppliers.
• Develop country promo calendar and execute promotions.
