Job summary

Talabat, part of Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a Senior Category Manager to grow our Grocery Store “tMart”, the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30-minute delivery at hypermarket prices. The service has expanded across Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman and Iraq.

You will lead pricing, assortment, category strategy, and supplier negotiations, build reports, and collaborate with marketing to maximize campaign ROI across markets. Fluent English and Arabic are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in progressive development and management of multiple product categories in an international setting.
• Ability to build and lead cross-functional teams at scale.
• Highly detail-oriented, structured, and able to prioritise to deliver solutions.
• Willingness to work hands-on in challenging situations to ensure project success.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with hands-on use of multiple tools.
• Robust interpersonal and intercultural skills to inspire teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing strategy by country and lead pricing matrix negotiations.
• Lead assortment guidelines, SKU limits, and category roles based on market dynamics.
• Create reports on GMROI, underperforming items, and potential category expansion or contraction.
• Maintain pricing strategies, resolving margin erosion and price perception issues.
• Identify brands and new listings aligned with tMart concept and market needs.
• Perform category performance reviews and rationalization to close out underperforming categories.
• Coordinate with regional teams to ensure profitability and affordability across markets.
• Assist marketing with campaigns and measure ROI and effectiveness.
